This woman right here is amazing. I met her yesterday at Relay for Life, and she inspires me. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2000 and for 12 years has fought the battle against such a horrible disease. People like here are really what this is all about, we want to raise money and rally together support to help further the chances of defeating cancer, to make the lives of wonderful people like her better then what they are. As she shared her story with us, she had this optimistic tone, and I loved that about her. She was even able to make jokes about it by saying “Well when I lost all my hair at least I didn’t have to worry about having a bad hair day!” Although I don’t think I will cross paths once again with her, I hope that all the support we give pays off and that one day she can know that she has won the battle. One day, I believe that we will be able to say there is a cure. Where there is a will, there is a way.
